'Ramadan' amnesty in the UAE

Hundreds of people who were convicted of various crimes and who were in prisons and correctional institutions were pardoned in the UAE, as is the case in every Ramadan. With the said application, it is aimed to strengthen family ties, give the prisoners a second opportunity and reintegrate them into the society.

'Ramadan' amnesty in the UAE

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), 1025 prisoners were amnesty on the occasion of the month of Ramadan.

According to the UAE official news agency WAM, President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued an amnesty as part of reintegrating convicts into society and relieving the burden on their families.

With the decision of Al Nahyan, 1025 people who were convicted of various crimes before the month of Ramadan and who were in prisons and correctional institutions were pardoned.

RELEASED EVERY YEAR

Every year before the month of Ramadan in the UAE, an amnesty is issued by the President to strengthen family ties, give prisoners a second chance and reintegrate them into society.
