It is reported that the nano lime application applied to the gigantic statues on the 2,150-metre-altitude Mount Nemrut, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, yielded positive results.

It is reported that the nano lime application applied to the gigantic statues on the 2,150-metre-altitude Mount Nemrut, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, yielded positive results. In September last year, lime filling with nanotechnology was applied to the hairline cracks in the gigantic statues that have existed for 2 thousand years on the east and west terraces of the tumulus.

Mount Nemrut the legend is famous for its giant mausolea and God statues which were built for Commagene King; “Antiochus I” who ruled in Adıyaman except for its height size. The king has these statues and mausolea done to show his appreciation for the Gods and his own ancestors.

Mount Nemrut is in Türkiye's Adiyaman province.
