Istanbul during Eid al-Fitr offers an enchanting mix of festive activities and cultural experiences tailored to captivate both locals and visitors.

Under the aegis of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), the city is not just a backdrop but an active participant in the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

For seamless travel, IBB has introduced complimentary access to public transportation for personalized Istanbulkart holders.

This initiative ensures that exploring Istanbul's rich tapestry of events is as effortless as it is enjoyable. The metro services will follow a special schedule akin to the Saturday timetable on the first two days of Eid al-Fitr, operating from 6:00 a.m. until midnight.

April 12 will see extended night services on certain lines. In addition, the Cityline ferries will operate on a holiday schedule, while sea taxis are available 24/7 for those seeking a more scenic route across the city's waterways.

Istanbul Modern is a key cultural venue during Eid al-Fitr, hosting several must-see exhibitions. Art enthusiasts can explore the "Floating Islands" exhibition from the Istanbul Modern Collection, Ozan Sagdic's "The Witness of a Photographer," which provides a deep dive into Türkiye’s photographic history, and "Timeless Curiosities," an exhibition that merges current technology trends with digital culture.

Moreover, the "Renzo Piano: The Spirit of the Land" exhibition narrates the story of the museum's architectural evolution. Istanbul Modern's rooftop, with its reflective pool, offers a unique viewing experience, merging the urban skyline with the natural beauty of the Bosphorus.

The city's Lale Festival is another highlight of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

Parks like Emirgan, Gulhane, Sultanahmet Square, Goztepe 60th Year Park and Hidiv Grove become vibrant canvases showcasing nearly 8 million tulips.

The festival is not just about the visual spectacle of flowers; it includes a variety of events, such as children's shows, workshops, and concerts, bringing a celebratory vibe throughout the city.

Besides these, IBB has arranged a series of events, including park maintenance and cleanliness drives, to keep the city's aesthetic appeal at its peak during the holiday.
