Hungarian students visit Turkish museum where Hungarian prince took refuge

Hungarian students from the Tekirdag's Suleymanpasa district visited the Rakoczi Museum, where Hungarian Prince Frenc Rakoczi II, who took refuge in the Ottoman Empire, stayed.

The students who received information from Museum Director Ali Kabul delivered various speeches.

After the speeches, the students performed dances from their regions, which were appreciated with grand applause.

Adem Dalgic, President of the Tekirdag Hungarian Friendship Association, told reporters that the activities continue throughout the year in the city within the framework of the "2024 Turkish-Hungarian Year of Culture" activities, saying: "Tekirdag and the Rakoczi Museum are very well-known by the Hungarian people."

"That is why many visitors come here. We host Hungarian students who come here to see how we protect their historical values. Activities will continue throughout the year," Dalgic said.

Tekirdag Science and Art Center teacher Zubeyde Aykac stated that 10 students visited the Hungarian artifacts in the city, saying: "They made a pleasant folk dance show here. In addition, the students read the message of the city governor from which they came. Tomorrow, the students will carry out activities related to the Turkish and Hungarian common culture with our Science and Art Center students."
