"Dance of the Epics," was staged at the Ataturk Cultural Center (AKM) Turk Telekom Opera Hall in Istanbul under the art direction of Serhat Turak.

Turak, who told Anadolu Agency (AA) about the show, maintained that the group has performed for three years and will embark on a European tour in October.

"The stories in our project are about heroes, bards and poets in Turkish history. It is a show where we chronologically address all the issues in Anatolian geography. From Noah's Flood to today, we exhibit a narrative of 12 scenes and local plays."

Dancer and actress Bahar Ulku Avci, who portrayed "Tomris Hatun" in the show, noted that she performed her role by getting into the character's spirit.

"A lot of effort was spent and this brought us together. The character I portrayed is a warrior character, and she is trying to avenge her murdered husband. It is a character symbolizing women, representing women's strength and upright stance in every period," Avci said.

Actress and dancer Gozde Potoglu stated that they had a difficult time during the preparation process.

"There are dances and theatrical performances from the past to the present about Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the show. We are trying to complement this with visuals. We are a very crowded team. Even though we are tired, we are all together striving to convey these feelings to the audience," Potoglu said.

Presenting a historical flow with animations such as Noah's Flood, Dede Korkut, Four Elements, Nowruz, Sari Gelin, Javanshir, Alparslan, the show aims to introduce young people to the epics of "Tomris Hatun," "Alparslan" and "Bogachan."
