EUNIC Music Festival opens with YEE-supported concert

The European Union National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC) kicked off its music festival in Vienna, Austria, with a unique concert. The Yeden Ensemble Music Group, supported by the Yunus Emre Institute Vienna (YEE), took the stage to blend classical Turkish music with jazz. 

The festival, which will last for a week in the capital Vienna, will feature music groups supported by the cultural institutes of many countries.

Greeting the audience before the concert, YEE Director Vienna Ayse Yorulmaz spoke about the Yeden Ensemble and the works performed by the music group.

The concert featured well-known works of classical Turkish musicians, such as composer Ali Ufki Bey's Nikriz Pesrev, Tanburi Cemil Bey's Nikriz Sirto and Cecen Kizi, as well as original compositions of the artists.
