The U.S. Congress is set to decide on the sale of F-16s to Türkiye after the State Department officially approved the deal and notified the Capitol. So, what does Türkiye want to purchase from the U.S.?

Türkiye had requested 40 new F-16 Block 70 fighter jets and modernization kits for 79 aircraft in its inventory. The full order list of Türkiye is as follows:

- 40 new F-16 Block 70 fighter jets – 32 F-16C, 8 F-16D models

- 79 F-16 Block 70 modernization kits for existing aircraft

- 48 F110-GE-129D engines – 40 installed, 8 spare

- 149 Enhanced Programmable Display Generators – iPDG / 40 installed, 10 spare, 99 for modernization program

- 149 AN/APG-83 AESA radars – 40 installed, 10 spare, 99 for the modernization program

- 169 Modular Mission Computers (MMC)

- 168 Integrated Viper Electronic Warfare Suite (IVEWS) or equivalent Electronic Warfare (EW) systems

- 858 LAU-129 guided missile launchers

- 44 M61 Vulcan cannons

- 16 AN/AAQ-33 Sniper Advanced Targeting Pods

- 151 Multi-Functional Information Distribution Systems-Joint Tactical Radio Systems (MIDS-JTRS)

- 952 AMRAAM AIM-120C-8 air-to-air missiles

- 96 AMRAAM guidance sections

- 864 GBU-39/B bombs

- 96 AGM-88B High Speed Anti-Radiation Missiles (HARM)

- 96 AGM-88E Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missiles (AARGM)

- 401 AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder missiles

- 12 MK82 General Purpose Bombs

- 850 JDAMs
