Anadolu Task Group participates in NATO exercise for first time
The Anadolu Task Group, under the leadership of TCG Anadolu, will participate in the NEPTUNE STRIKE exercise for the first time that will be conducted by NATO in Albania
NATO will conduct the NEPTUNE STRIKE activity in Albania from April 26 to May 10 as part of the enhanced alertness activities and the SPANISH MINEX-2024 exercises in Spain for Mine Warfare Training from April 29 to May 10, the Ministry of National Defense said in its weekly press briefing.
The TCG Anadolu Task Group will lead the NEPTUNE STRIKE activity, which will be attended for the first time by the Anadolu Task Group from April 26 to 30.
The Anadolu Task Group will include TCG Anadolu, TCG Salihreis, TCG Büyükada, 2 AH-1W attack helicopters, 2 SH-70 general-purpose helicopters, 1 platoon landing team, 4 mechanized landing craft, eight armored amphibious assault vehicles, various amphibious units consisting of armored vehicles, and 150 personnel, as well as 3 AS-532
Cougar general-purpose helicopters belonging to the Land Forces Command.
