Bayraktar Akinci completes shooting tests against moving and fixed sea targets

Türkiye's military sector accomplished a critical milestone when the Bayraktar Akinci successfully completed firing tests against both moving and fixed maritime targets. The Defense Industries Presidency hailed the successful tests, which highlight Türkiye's progress in unmanned aerial systems.

Baykar's Akinci Project is successfully merging national ammunition and sub-components into the Bayraktar Akinci , guided by the Defense Industries Presidency. This effort resulted in the recent successful shooting tests, which demonstrated the platform's effectiveness in a variety of operational circumstances.

The Bayraktar Akinci flew from the Akinci Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdag, with Mini Smart Ammunitions and an ASELFLIR-500 system. In the first part of the test, it attacked a fixed sea target exactly from 30,000 feet utilizing MAM-T explosives. During the second phase, the used MAM-L missiles to successfully eliminate a moving sea target, the Albatros IDA, demonstrating its adaptability and precision.
