'Intervention against Niger will be considered as war'

Neighboring Burkina Faso and Mali responded to the threat of military intervention by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to restore ousted leader Mohammad Bazoum to power in Niger with "any military intervention against Niger will be considered as a declaration of war". In a joint declaration, the two countries have unequivocally expressed their opposition to military intervention.
