Google Keep uses Gemini AI to generate lists for users

Google Keep offers a new feature called 'Help me create a list,' which is available on the Android app.

This feature, powered by Google's generative AI, Gemini, assists in quickly setting up shopping lists, to-do lists and packing lists.

When creating a new note in Google Keep, the 'Help me create a list' option can be found at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Upon selecting this option, users are prompted to describe the type of list they wish to create in text format.

Google provides examples of prompts that can be used with this feature.

  •  “Packing list for a camping trip with 2 kids in summer”
  • “Spring cleaning checklist for a 2-bedroom apartment”

The company advises to create precise guidelines for enhanced outcomes. For instance, specify "Weekly groceries for a vegetarian family of three."

Once you input the prompt and the system generates a list, you can select the 'Create' button to transform it into a to-do list.

Subsequently, the application will prompt you for feedback on the suggested list.

Based on your experience, you can indicate approval with a thumbs up or disapproval with a thumbs down.

Additionally, you can modify the prompt you supplied and select the refresh button to receive tailored results.

It is essential to be mindful that when utilizing this function, Google gathers and retains information such as the prompts you input, the text generated, and your feedback on the generated text.

Therefore, ensure that you refrain from sharing any sensitive information.

Google is gradually introducing this feature, so it may take some time to be accessible to all users. Currently, there is no specific timeline for its availability on other platforms.
