'We can compete abroad,' says Bulutistan CEO as Turkish cloud goes global

Bulutistan CEO Begim Baslıgil emphasized Türkiye's potential in the technology sector and stated that investing in technology is the country's solution.

Aiming to become an international technology company, the company is expanding its operations to various countries including Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, London and Dubai.

Bulutistan, Türkiye's first and only cloud service provider accepted to the Turcorn 100 Program, focuses on artificial intelligence and aims to benefit from the growing demand for cloud computing solutions on a global scale.

Baslıgil drew attention to the growth of the global cloud market, which is expected to reach $900 billion by 2027, and emphasized the potential of the Turkish cloud market, which is expected to grow from $500 million to $1 billion in the coming years.

Explaining the structure of the company, Baslıgil stated that Bulutistan operates under the parent company ICT Cloud Computing Inc. and provides services to customers in Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

'We can compete abroad'

The company also operates in the European market under the ICT Cloud brand with its organization in Frankfurt, Germany.

Addressing the potential they have in the global market, Baslıgil said: “We serve 76% of Türkiye's top 500 companies and 80% of 20 holdings. We believe we are fourth in terms of market share revenue and first in terms of the number of customers. If we can compete with hyper-scale companies in Türkiye, we can compete with them abroad.”

Baslıgil underlined the company's success in Türkiye, noting that they serve a significant number of the country's largest companies and have a significant market share.

Growing importance of AI

On the other hand, Gokhan Gencturk, General Manager of Bulutistan Türkiye, emphasized the growing importance of AI in the technology sector.

He noted that AI consulting is increasingly in demand and that there is a global trend toward integrating AI into various sectors.

According to Gençtürk, AI will have a special place on the boards of directors of companies because of its data processing and problem-solving capabilities.

Gencturk also touched upon the growing demand for GPU-based hardware, especially GPU-equipped servers preferred for AI applications.

Underlining Nvidia's success in AI processors, Gencturk emphasized Bulutistan's pioneering role in providing GPU-based hardware solutions.

"In every sector, people started to ask 'What can I do with artificial intelligence? Because a big trend is coming.' In fact, after a while, a chair in the board of directors of companies will be reserved for artificial intelligence," he added.
