In an announcement made at the Uludag Economy Summit held in Sapanca district of Sakarya, Levent Ozbilgin, the General Manager of Microsoft Türkiye, revealed their intention to substantially expand their research and development centers in Türkiye.
"We aim to exponentially increase our investments in Türkiye, not only contributing to the technology hub but also integrating into the hyper-scale cloud infrastructure, thus significantly expanding our operations in Türkiye," Ozbilgin stated.
Türkiye's immense opportunities in AI
Speaking about the significance of digital transformation, Ozbilgin emphasized its evolution over the past two decades, particularly highlighting the recent emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) as a pivotal component.
He pointed out that Türkiye stands to gain immense opportunities in this sphere, given the rapid integration and potential applications of AI across personal, corporate, and public domains.
Ozbilgin highlighted healthcare as a leading sector globally in AI, with manufacturing, construction, logistics, and retail also at the forefront of AI adoption. He expressed Microsoft's enthusiasm for fostering the growing interest and demand for AI in Türkiye, while acknowledging the need to ensure seamless integration and productivity of AI technologies on a national scale.
