A historical trade route connecting Venice to Istanbul will be reactivated as a modern travel destination.

The European Union supports the project, which will revive the historical route in form of a new tourist attraction, and for this end, culture ministers of six EU countries have met in Turkish coastal town of Bodrum located in the Aegean.
A meeting held at the historic Castle of Bodrum with the participation of representatives from the EU, World Tourism Organization, and Turkey, Italy, Croatia, Albania and Greece.
Bodrum is another stop along the historic commerce route after Istanbul.
The second meeting of the project will take place in Istanbul’s Topkapı Palace.
