Russian President Putin's intimidation to the West: We will respond strongly
With only a few days left until the first anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war, eyes were turned to Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered his annual speech at the Federal Assembly, his country's parliament. Evaluating the situation in Ukraine and international developments, Putin said, "The West has taken the genie out of the bottle. The West's goal is unlimited power. The West wants to make the regional conflict global." He also said, "The more long-range weapons are sent to Ukraine, the bigger our response will be."
A year is about to be left behind in the Russia-Ukraine war that started on February 24, 2022. After the 'surprise visit' of US President Joe Biden to Kyiv, the eyes were turned to the speech of Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader gave a speech today in the capital Moscow to members of parliament, commanders and soldiers.
"Russia is not at war with the Ukrainian people, who are hostages of the Kyiv regime," said Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin also said that it is impossible for Russia to be defeated on the battlefield.

They believed and expected that Russia would come to their rescue. Meanwhile, we did our best to resolve the issue peacefully. We patiently tried to find a peaceful way out of this most difficult conflict, but a completely different scenario was being prepared behind us."

I want to emphasize this. No country in the world has as many military bases abroad as the United States. There are hundreds of them all over the world. The entire world has seen them withdraw from basic armaments treaties, including the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty. They unilaterally tore up the fundamental agreements protecting world peace. Why did they do this? Just because they can.
