Yevgeni Prigozhin, the boss of the mercenary group Wagner Group, had recently threatened the Kremlin administration to withdraw its troops from Bakhmut. Although Prigozhin has given up on withdrawing his troops, he continues to remain on the agenda with his statements and allegations against him. According to the latest claim by the US media, Yevgeniy Prigojin, the founder of the Russian mercenary group Wagner, offered to sell the locations of Russian troops to Ukraine.
Yevgeniy Prigozhin, the founder of the Russian mercenary group Wagner, made an offer to Ukraine, the US daily Washington Post reported. According to the Washington Post, Prigozhin reportedly offered in January to sell information on the positions of Russian forces in exchange for Ukraine's withdrawal of its troops from the Bakhmut region and made this offer through his contacts with the Ukrainian Intelligence Service. Ukraine rejected the offer, the report said.
Prigojin, who is known to be close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, had threatened that Wagner soldiers in the Bakhmut Region would withdraw from the region without the necessary ammunition. The Wagner leader said in an audio message last week that he and his soldiers would be considered traitors if they left the region.
