Attending the 3rd meeting of the European Political Community (EPC)in Granada, Spain, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reiterated his request for air defense system assistance against Russian aggression. In his speech, Ukraine emphasized that Russia would pose a threat to Europe. 

Zelenskyy made brief remarks to journalists at the entrance to the EPC meeting room in Granada.

"A very difficult winter awaits us. During the winter we will be subjected to numerous attacks by Russia. Russia will be a threat to the European continent. Therefore, we need as many air defense systems and missiles as possible," he noted.

The President of Ukraine also responded to a question about the developments in the United States(US) domestic politics.

"In my meeting with US President Joe Biden, he said that he supported us one hundred percent. Both sides of the Congress in the US support us. But I know that election periods are always complicated," Zelenskiy emphasized.

On the other hand, Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who hosted the EPC meeting, said that they will continue to give a message of support and unity to Ukraine at today's meetings and that he will have a bilateral meeting with Zelenskiy.

The leaders of 27 European Union (EU) members and 17 European countries are attending the one-day AST meeting in Granada.
