TRNC President Ersin Tatar expressed his commitment to enhancing ties with Azerbaijan across various sectors. He emphasized the significance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations during his visit to Baku for Turkish Cypriot Promotion Day.

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Ersin Tatar said that his country will develop its ties with Azerbaijan in every field.

At a press conference held at Nicosia Ercan Airport before traveling to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to participate in the Turkish Cypriot Promotion Day event, Tatar stated that they would visit Azerbaijan for the first time and pointed out the importance of developing mutual relations between the two countries.

Reminding that as the TRNC, they faced obstacles from the Greeks in their relations with the world.

"We will develop our ties with Azerbaijan in every field. We are going to develop our ties with Azerbaijan in terms of education, culture, and economy. We will fly the TRNC flag in Azerbaijan," Tatar said.

President Tatar noted that they traveled to Azerbaijan with a delegation of 200 people, including business people, tourism professionals, university representatives, and investors, and wished that their visit would be auspicious.

Following the press conference, the plane carrying TRNC President Tatar, TRNCPrime Minister Unal Ustel, and the accompanying delegation departed from Nicosia Ercan Airport to Baku.
