The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) announced that 16 journalists have been killed in Gaza since the start of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on October 7, with many more injured and missing.

The ongoing clashes between Israel and Palestine in Gaza have been going on for two weeks. Israel is bombarding houses, schools, and hospitals from the air by blockading Palestine. The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) announced that 16 journalists have died so far in the clashes.

"So far 16 journalists have been killed in the ongoing fighting between Hamas and Israel in Gaza, while scores more have been injured and disappeared," the IFJ said.

It was announced that the journalists who lost their lives were "Mohammad Ali, Khalil Abu Azira, Semih en-Nadi, Isam Behar, Muhammad Beloushe, Abdulhadi Habib, Husam Mubarak, Ahmed Shihab, Muhammad Fayiz Yusuf Abu Matar, Said al-Tawil, Muhammad Subh, Hisham en-Nawajiha, Assad Shamleh, Muhammad al-Salihi, Ibrahim Lafi, and Muhammad Jaroun".

In the statement, it was stated that no news was received from a journalist or a photojournalist.

JOURNALISTS WERE WARNED ABOUT FIELD

The IFJ also called on journalists working in the field to "take the necessary precautions, wear safety equipment, and not go to the field until the media organizations they work for provide them with such equipment".

In previous statements, it was stated that 13 journalists were killed in Israeli attacks.
