Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan engaged in bilateral discussions on Thursday during the Nuclear Energy Summit held in Brussels.
According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Fidan met with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte prior to the official commencement of the summit.
Additionally, Fidan held discussions with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani, and Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar during the sidelines of the summit.
The ministry did not provide further details on these meetings.
Fidan also had a meeting with their Belgian counterpart Hadja Lahbib before leaving Brussels.
Speaking at the summit organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Belgium, Fidan emphasized the urgent need for enhanced nuclear safety measures. He reiterated Türkiye's dedication to regional denuclearization efforts.
Fidan stressed the importance of nuclear safety protocols and regional denuclearization and expressed concerns about the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

The summit, scheduled for March 21-22, focuses exclusively on nuclear energy. This topic has garnered increasing global interest due to its potential to reduce fossil fuel reliance and meet the rising demand for low-carbon electricity.
