Russia, Türkiye seek payment solutions amid sanctions impact

Russia and Türkiye are actively addressing issues related to bank payments affected by sanctions, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on Monday.

During a press briefing in Moscow, Peskov highlighted Moscow's and Ankara's ongoing efforts to find solutions to the sanctions.

"Constant communication at the working level is maintained in all financial matters to navigate this situation. While certain obstacles exist, the root cause is clear. These challenges are significantly harming the interests of both Russian and Turkish economic operators," he emphasized.

Regarding a potential visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Türkiye, Peskov mentioned that specific dates have not yet been set.

"High-level contacts are underway. The precise timing of Russian-Turkish engagements at the top levels is still to be determined. However, there is an understanding that these meetings will occur in the near future," he stated.
