YSK makes decisions on election applications for 6 provinces, 10 districts

The Supreme Election Council (YSK) has made decisions regarding the applications submitted by political parties for Van, Sirnak, Amasya, Kirklareli, Bingol, and Ardahan provinces, as well as 10 districts.

The YSK continues to review objections against the decisions of Provincial Election Boards regarding the results of the Local Administration General Elections held on March 31.

In today's meeting, the Council evaluated the objections regarding the municipal election results of six provinces and some districts.

According to the information obtained, the Patriotic Party objected to the election results of the mayoralty in Van, where DEM Party candidate Abdullah Zeydan won.

YSK, after reviewing the application, did not accept the Patriotic Party's request for the cancellation of the elections in Van.

The YSK also rejected the Kurdish Democracy and Equality Party's (DEM) request for the cancellation of elections in Sirnak, as well as the AK Party's request for Ardahan, CHP's request for Kirklareli, National Movement Party's (MHP) request for Amasya, and DEM Party's request for Bingol to recount the votes.

Additionally, YSK rejected the People's Republic Party's (CHP) request for the cancellation of elections in Yozgat's Yerkoy, Yeniden Refah Party's request for Sanliurfa's Siverek district.

The YSK also rejected requests for recounting votes for Justice and Development Party (AK Party)'s Kutahya Emet, DEM Party's Bitlis Guroymak, CHP's Adana's Saricam and Ankara's Kizilcahamam, Yeniden Refah Party's Gaziantep's Oguzeli, Great Unity Party's Bolu's Gerede, and Erzurum's İspir district mayoralty elections.

Finally, the YSK rejected the request of the Great Unity Party to cancel the election results of MHP candidate Mustafa Atli, who won the mayoralty in Kozan district of Adana.
