Iraqi media hails President Erdogan's 'historic' visit

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's recent visit to Iraq has garnered significant praise from Iraqi media outlets, with many hailing it as a "historic" moment for bilateral relations.

During his visit to Baghdad and Erbil, Erdogan engaged in discussions with top Iraqi leaders and Kurdish Regional Government officials, focusing on counterterrorism and regional issues, while signing several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to strengthen ties across various sectors.

Emphasizing the importance of Erdogan's visit, Iraqi newspapers such as Al-Sabah and Al-Zawraa highlighted the signing of strategic agreements and the Development Road project, which is set to elevate bilateral relations to new heights.

Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdish Regional Government, also praised the visit, underscoring the deep ties between Türkiye and Iraq.
