Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz opts for Morocco due to Spain's snub

Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz has officially switched his international affiliation from Spain to Morocco.

Despite being born in Malaga to Spanish parents, the 24-year-old forward has grown disillusioned with the lack of call-ups from various Spanish national team managers.

Despite his impressive performances for AC Milan and Real Madrid, Diaz has yet to receive a call-up to represent La Roja, leading to his decision to represent Morocco, the country of his paternal grandfather.

The decision marks a significant loss for Spain, which now misses out on the potential contributions of a talented player.

Diaz's journey from Spain's youth rank to the senior team became a source of frustration, ultimately paving the way for Morocco to secure his commitment.

The Moroccan Football Federation, spearheaded by President Fouzi Lekjaa and the country's minister delegate for the budget, played a crucial role in persuading Diaz to choose Morocco.

The African country gains a skilled and versatile player, enhancing its attacking options and overall squad strength.

Brahim Diaz's familial ties to Morocco, coupled with the persuasive efforts of the Moroccan Football Federation, played a decisive role in this switch.

Now eligible to represent Morocco due to his grandfather's heritage, Diaz is set to make his international debut for the Atlas Lions.

His potential inclusion in the upcoming match against Angola signifies a new chapter in his career.

He embarked on an exciting journey with Morocco, leaving Spain to regret the missed opportunity to nurture a potential star.
