Arsenal advances to Champions League quarterfinals after penalty shootout win against Porto

In a nail-biting match at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal defeated Porto in a tight penalty shootout to earn their first-ever Champions League quarterfinal berth since 2010. The London club had been eliminated from the round of 16 for seven years before this triumph.

Arsenal won the match 1-0 after a thrilling penalty shootout decided the contest. After saving Galeno's vital penalty kick to seal the victory, David Raya became Arsenal's hero.

No side was able to find the breakthrough in normal or extra time, despite their best efforts to score a game-winning goal. Arsenal was mostly thwarted in their offensive attempts by Porto's solid defense, which resulted in a scoreless draw that could only be broken from the penalty spot.

The result was further tipped in Arsenal's favor by Wendell's Porto penalty kick that struck the post. Arsenal's long-standing drought came to an end in the Champions League quarterfinals as they seized their chances with steely resolve.
