Turkish Airlines launches new sports management company

Turkish Airlines has taken a significant step forward in the sports sector by announcing its decision to create a new company.

This initiative, as the airline communicated to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), aims to enhance the management of its sports club activities.

Set to operate within Istanbul's boundaries, the airline will own the new entity entirely. It will bear the name THY Spor or another commercial title that is yet to be decided.

With this move, Turkish Airlines has intensified its commitment to strengthening its role in sports and positioning itself competitively.

The company will start its operations with a cash capital of $31,000 and will function as a joint-stock company.

As revealed on April 6, Turkish Airlines envisions this endeavor as a crucial strategy for effective management of its sports club operations.
