The Iberoamericano Huelva event witnessed stellar performances from Turkish athletes, including a winning high jump by Buse Savaskan and a strong steeplechase run by Derya Kunur

Buse Savaskan claims victory in high jump at Iberoamericano Huelva

Turkish athlete Buse Savaskan clinched the top spot in the women's high jump at the Iberoamericano Huelva competition in Spain on April 30.

According to the Turkish Athletics Federation, Savaskan participated in the event, which is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour's bronze category series.

The event saw Savaskan clear a height of 1.9 meters (6.2 feet) at the Iberoamericano Stadium in Huelva to secure first place.

This win adds to Savaskan's impressive record and highlights her talent in the high jump competition.

Adding to  Türkiye's success, Derya Kunur secured a third-place finish in the women's 3000-meter (1.86-mile) steeplechase with a time of 9 minutes 36.56 seconds.
