Champions League action returned last night with German side Bayern Munich grabbing a last-gasp winning goal at home against reigning English Premier League title holders, Manchester City.
Bayerns German center-back Jerome Boateng stunned City with his 90th minute strike which gave victory to the home side.
Roma, Barcelona and Porto were also Wednesday-night winners.
Roma made a flying start by smashing Russian opponents CSKA Moscow 5-1 at home.
Competing in Group F, Catalan team Barcelona scraped past APOEL thanks to a single goal scored by Spanish regular Gerard Pique in the 28th minute.
French side Paris Saint-Germain drew against Ajax 1-1 in Amsterdam. PSGs Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani's goal in the 14th minute was not enough for the Parisians to take victory in the Netherlands as Ajax's Lasse Schone equalized late in the second half.
