On Wednesday, the G20 Summit was held in India with the participation of the foreign ministers of the countries. Before the summit, protesters held a demonstration near the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi and clashed with the police.

Tibetans and Tibetan supporters protested against Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang's visit to India to attend the two-day summit. There are some of the protesters taken into custody.

"We urge leaders of the world… We urge them to save Tibetan children inside Tibet. Free Tibet!" shouted a protester after he was detained.

One of the protesters, taken by the police on the bus, shouted "G20 protect Tibetan Children".

SPIRITUAL LEADER DALAI LAMA FLOODED TO INDIA

The exiled spiritual leader of Tibetans, the Dalai Lama, fled to India after a failed uprising against Chinese rule in 1959.

Beijing has ruled Tibet’s remote western region since 1951, after its People's Liberation Army marched in and took control in what it called a "peaceful liberation".

China considers the current Dalai Lama a dangerous separatist and instead recognises the current Panchen Lama, put in place by the Communist Party, as the highest religious figure in Tibet.
