One person dies in hijab fight in Iran

A woman died of a heart attack during a fight over the headscarf between vacationers in Iran's Kerman province and a group visiting the grave of General Qassem Soleimani, the Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Quds Force, who was killed by the USA.

A fight broke out on Monday between tourists who came to the Shahzade Mahan park, known as a frequent destination for holidaymakers in Kerman province in southern Iran, and a group visiting the grave of Iranian Revolutionary Guards Quds Force Commander General Qassem Soleimani, who was killed by the US.

According to the news in the Iranian press, holidaymakers threw stones at the group, which warned them not to wear a headscarf properly.

According to Ihloas News Agency, while some holidaymakers, including women and children, took shelter in cars, one person fainted with a blow to the head.

In a statement regarding the incident, Kirman Governor Ali Babayi said, "Unfortunately, a 59-year-old woman died of a heart attack in the fight that broke out. An investigation has been launched on the subject. Details on the cause of the fight will be announced later."
