After 17-year-old Nahel M. was shot dead in the French suburb of Nanterre in Paris for disobeying a police stop warning, a massive riot broke out.  39-year-old French firefighter Jonathan Vero broke two Guinness records with an attempt 200 kilometers south of Paris, the capital of France, which was engulfed in flames due to the protests.

DUBBED THE 'HUMAN TORCH'

Dubbed the 'human torch' by Guinness World Records, the firefighter ran 272.25 meters in flames without oxygen. Wearing protective clothing against fire, Vero broke the old record of 204.23 meters when he completed his run. The 39-year-old firefighter didn't stop there, he also won the title of the fastest man to run 100 meters without oxygen.

THEY ACCOMPANIED HIM WITH CYLINDERS

According to the New York Post, in the video, which attracted great attention on social media, the French firefighter was seen running at lightning speed while his friends around him accompanied him with fire extinguishers in their hands.

After breaking previous records, Vero finished the run on his own accord, signaling to those around him that they could put out the fire. According to Guinness World Records, the record for running on fire has changed hands seven times since 2009.
