Taliban's advancement towards the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

Taliban Deputy PM Abdul Salam Hanafi engaged in a meeting with Tarik Ali Bakhit, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's Special Envoy for Afghanistan, in the capital Kabul.

Throughout the discussion, Hanafi underscored the collective hardships in the Islamic sphere, asserting that Muslim nations should collaborate to tackle the challenges.

Hanafi accentuated the Taliban government's aspiration to nurture positive ties with member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, indicating their plan to dispatch representatives to the 15th Leaders Summit set to happen in Gambia.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation's 15th Leaders Summit is scheduled to convene in the capital, Banjul, on May 4-5.
