Anti-government protests in Israel are relentless

Relatives of Israeli prisoners held in Gaza blocked roads in Tel Aviv with a banner reading "Prisoners or Rafah. Choose life" as critical hours approached for a cease-fire and prisoner swap deal with Hamas. Protestors setup a road blockade in Tel Aviv.

Relatives of Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip have recently stepped up their protests, criticizing the Netanyahu government for "not doing everything it can" to free them. As participation in the demonstrations increased, incidents broke out between police and demonstrators.

Demonstrators blocked the Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv, halting two-way traffic with a banner reading "Prisoners or Prosperity. Choose life" and lit torches. Israeli police intervened in the protest and reopened the road.

On the other hand, far-right figures in Netanyahu's government have threatened to topple the government if a cease-fire and prisoner swap agreement are signed.
