Minister of National Defense holds meeting with commanders post Eid celebration
Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler, alongside top military officials, emphasizes commitment to national security and regional stability
Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler, along with Chief of General Staff General Metin Gurak, Naval Forces Commander Vice Admiral Ercument Tatlioglu, Land Forces Commander General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu and Air Force Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadioglu, convened in Sanliurfa following an Eid celebration.
During a video teleconference held at the 20th Armored Brigade Command, Minister Yasar Guler extended Ramadan Eid greetings to the commanders of units operating domestically and across borders.
Guler emphasized the ongoing efforts to ensure the country's security and protect its rights and interests amidst global and regional developments.
He highlighted successful operations against terrorist organizations, attributing the achievements to martyrs, veterans and Turkish soldiers.
The minister underscored the commitment to further enhancing control in the field, nullifying the capacity of terrorist groups and securing borders through intensive measures in personnel and technology.
He mentioned continuous efforts to develop the capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces, conducting comprehensive exercises on land, sea, and air while integrating domestic, national, and modern defense systems.
Regarding contributions to peace and stability, Guler highlighted Türkiye's role in resolving crises and disputes in regions such as Karabakh, Libya, and the Ukraine-Russia War.
The Turkish Armed Forces support just causes of friendly nations like Cyprus and Azerbaijan, contributing to global and regional security.
Guler noted Türkiye's status as a global actor, emphasizing the army's strength and effectiveness on the world stage.
In closing, he emphasized the importance of the Turkish Armed Forces' human resources and the need for vigilance in the current defense and security environment.
"Today, as Türkiye, we need to fully understand the superior level we have reached and our ability as the Armed Forces to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously. Preserving and raising the success achieved in every field so far with your efforts is our top priority," he mentioned.
Minister Guler's address highlighted Türkiye's commitment to national security, regional stability, and the pursuit of greater national strength as it enters a new era of its Republic.
