Descending the stairs to 80 meters deep of the cave, Yuksekova delegation enjoyed the day by getting on the boats.
Stating that the cave is an enormous place, the official said, “We are now in Saholan Cave. We are now 80 meters below the ground. There is a landscape that presents the beauty of nature. There is a pond in it and they took us around by boat. The depth of the water goes up to 63 meters. It is a magnificent geography. It is a beautiful place, actually, I compared it to the Heaven and Hell Stream in Mersin a little bit."
Climber Haci Tansu, who was part of the delegation, stated that the cave is an incredible place and said, “I had done a lot of research about this place before, I wanted to see it, and today I was lucky to see it. The water is also very deep. Most importantly, you are traveling on a boat and it is a wonderful feeling. We descended exactly 80 meters from the surface, and the interior is made entirely of limestone and full of stalactites. They also resembled various figures. There are those that look like birds, there are those that look like airplanes. We saw bat nests and lots of pigeons. It is an incredible place."
Another official said that Saholan Cave is a beautiful place and added, “I came here for the first time today, I was very happy. I wish I had come earlier and seen this beautiful place. This is a very exciting cave. Here is my call to our citizens from Hakkari, come and see this natural beauty in its place. This is a completely self-made place. It is an incredible place.”
