Kuwait's slap in the face to Assad
Kuwaiti Deputy Speaker of the Kuwaiti Parliament Mohammed al-Mutayr gave a slap in the face to Syrian President al-Assad, who had spoken against the Ottomans at the 32nd Arab League Leaders Summit. Mutayr said that the Ottoman Empire was the protector of Islam and Muslims for 6 centuries, adding, "Those who shed blood, rape, steal money, destroy homes and displace innocents cannot falsify its (Ottoman) glorious history, tarnish its reputation or diminish its value."
Deputy Speaker of Kuwaiti Parliament Mohammed al-Mutayr said that the Ottoman Empire was the protector of Muslims. "The Ottoman Caliphate was the protector of Islam and Muslims for 6 centuries," said Mutayr, Deputy Speaker of Kuwaiti Parliament, in a post on his social media account.
'THEY CANNOT TARNISH THE BRIGHT HISTORY OF THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE'
"Those who shed blood, rape, steal money, destroy homes and displace innocents cannot falsify its (the Ottoman Empire's) glorious history, tarnish its reputation or diminish its value," Mutayr added.
OUTRAGEOUS WORDS FROM AL-ASSAD
In his speech at the 32nd Arab League Leaders Summit held yesterday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said, "We have many topics to discuss. These topics are not limited to the crimes committed by Israel against the resisting Palestinian people, nor do they end with the danger of the expansionist Ottoman mentality."
