Palestinians continue to struggle for life on the brink of death in Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. Gazans told about the struggle for survival. The day that starts with long bread and water queues is spent trying not to die. On the 21st day of the Israeli attacks, Gazans who lost their homes, families, and children are still resisting not to leave Palestine.

Palestinians who took refuge in Al-Shifa Hospital after the Israeli attacks told Anadolu Agency correspondent about the difficulties they faced.

Palestinian 42-year-old Muhammad Heniyye, who is responsible for 30 people from his family and his brother's family, stated that he took refuge in Al-Shifa Hospital after the Israeli army bombed the area where his house was located.

The Israeli army claimed that theAl-Shifa Hospital, which houses thousands of wounded civilians, was 'used for terrorist activities' and targeted it.

Heniyye stated that he had difficulty providing food for his family and waited in long queues to get bread and water from the early hours of the morning.

As soon as he got bread and water, Heniyye ran to his tent in the garden of Al-Shifa Hospital and had breakfast with his family with broad beans, hummus, and cooked tomatoes despite the difficulties.

After breakfast, Heniyye stated that he could not take his eyes off the martyrs and wounded who came to the hospital and that he was closely watching the events. Heniyye, who hopes for the end of the attacks and to return to the area where his house was destroyed, can meet his daily food needs from food parcels provided by philanthropists in Gaza. Heniyye and his family meet their daily food needs and therefore try to save food for the next day.

"Our daily life is as you can see, but we are determined to resist, survive, and sacrifice," Heniyye noted.

"Despite the martyrs, bombings, and destruction, we will not leave this land, we will not give up an inch of our homeland and land," Heniyye emphasized.

"We want the whole world to see the determination of the people of Gaza," he added.

"I prepare the tomato dish with water because there is no cooking oil. There is no water and food. We are doing our best to take care of the children," Tahrir al-Mille, 44, the wife of Heniyya's brother, noted.

Mille emphasized that they survive with very limited means.

The Heniyye family, whose homes were destroyed and displaced by the Israeli bombardment, has not been able to take a bath since October 7, when Israel launched its attacks on Gaza.

The Heniyye family thinks that they are living in "a prison where it is forbidden to go out under any circumstances"; on the one hand, they fear that their lives will be in danger in case of an attack on the hospital, on the other hand, they state that they are "better off than others" because they found a place for themselves in the hospital.

The Heniyye family, who try to sleep in a tent, spend sleepless hours due to the intensified Israeli attacks on Gaza at night.
