AK Party Spokesperson Celik highlights President Erdogan's unwavering support for Palestine

In a statement on his social media account, AK Party Vice Chairman and Party Spokesperson Omer Celik emphasized that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's clear stance on Palestine and Jerusalem, as well as his sensitivity toward Palestinians in the occupied territories, is an undeniable fact.

Celik stated, "Attacks against our president's stance on Palestine are baseless, unjust, devoid of reason, and unlawful."

Pointing to President Erdogan's diplomatic efforts since Oct. 7 to halt Israeli aggression in Gaza and his efforts in all fields, Celik continued:

"Our president is the sole leader who, in the presence of the entire world, opposed those who label Palestinians resisting for their lands and rights as terrorists. President Erdogan has been consistently praised by the Palestinian people and Palestinian leaders for his approach and practical support. Due to this fundamental stance on Palestine, our president is targeted by the massacre gang and leading figures of the (Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu government. Despite all attacks throughout his political life, our president has never wavered for a moment in defending the Palestinian cause as one of the fundamental principles of his political life."

Celik noted that even during the time when President Erdogan was facing a political ban, his response to the question about Hamas in the U.S. was the same as it is today.

"The attacks against our president's stance on Palestine are baseless, unjust, devoid of reason, and unlawful. Our president is the strongest advocate and supporter of the Palestinian cause and the oppressed people of Gaza, as the voice of our noble nation and global conscience," he said.
