Vice President Yilmaz welcomes Azerbaijani PM Asadov in Ankara

Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz met with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov in Ankara Wednesday to discuss the present status of bilateral relations and explore avenues for cooperation.

After thorough bilateral and delegation-level talks, Yilmaz and Asadov are set to ratify the 11th Term Joint Economic Commission (JEC) Protocol between Türkiye and Azerbaijan and will give a press briefing.

Additionally, both leaders will participate in the Turkish-Azerbaijan Business Forum hosted at the TOBB Twin Towers in Ankara.

Asadov arrived in Ankara on Tuesday for a two-day official visit to Türkiye.

He previously visited the Kahramanmaras province to inspect the progress of construction in the "Azerbaijani quarter." This initiative stems from President Ilham Aliyev's directive to aid the province following the devastating earthquake that struck Türkiye on Feb. 6, 2023.

Per the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement in Nakhchivan on Sept. 25, 2023, Azerbaijan allocated $100 million to realize this project.
