Turkish athlete Sahika Ercumen dives for 100th anniversary of Turkish Republic

Turkish national diving athlete Sahika Ercumen performed a special dive for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.

National athlete Sahika Ercumen unfurled the Turkish flag during her dive in Türkiye’s Antalya within the scope of the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

The record-holder athlete gave the start of the "Open Sea Swimming Race in the 100th Year of the Republic" at Konyaalti Beach.

Ercumen then sailed to the sea with a boat for a special demonstration dive for the 100th anniversary of the Republic. After the dive, she unfurled the Turkish flag in the sea and celebrated the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Republic of Türkiye.

BREAKS WORLD RECORD

The national athlete said he was happy to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic with diving in Antalya.

Ercümen had set a world record by diving to 106 meters on October 17 in Türkiye’s Hatay in the "non-pallet variable weight" category, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic.
