US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated that they are deeply concerned about the 6.4 magnitude earthquake centered in the Defne district of Hatay, affecting Türkiye and Syria, and said that the US will continue to support it in this context.
"We are deeply concerned by the news of earthquakes impacting areas already devastated in Turkiye and Syria," Sullivan said on Twitter. Sullivan underlined that the full support of the USA will continue due to earthquakes.

Hatay, which is one of the provinces most affected by the 2 severe earthquakes in Kahramanmaras on February 6, cannot escape the grip of the earthquake.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) announced that two earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.4 occurred on February 20 at 20:04 in the Defne district of Hatay, and with a magnitude of 5.8 in the Samandag district at 20:07. Earthquakes were also felt in Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Israel and Egypt. In the earthquake, 6 citizens lost their lives and nearly 300 were injured.
