President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev spoke at the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) Extraordinary Summit held at the Presidential Complex.

President Aliyev wished mercy to those who lost their lives in the earthquake in Kahramanmaras on 6 February and a speedy recovery to the injured.

Noting that Azerbaijan and Türkiye always stand by each other in both good and sad times, Aliyev emphasized that this will continue to be the case in the future.

Expressing that thanks to the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Türkiye will overcome the consequences of this earthquake, Aliyev stated that thanks to Erdogan's political, diplomatic and moral support, they saw Türkiye's support on their side from the first hours of the 2nd Karabakh War to the last day.

Aliyev said that the Turkish people continued to stand by Azerbaijan throughout the 44-day war.

Reminding that the Shusha Declaration was signed between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in June 2021, Aliyev stated that this declaration crowned the Karabakh Victory and contributed to the bilateral relations carried out within the framework of the alliance.

'IT HAS BECOME A COUNTRY WHICH HAS BEEN MENTIONED THROUGHOUT THE WORLD'

Aliyev stated that under Erdogan's leadership, Türkiye has progressed respectably on a path full of victories over the past 20 years, "Türkiye has become a prominent country not only in the region but also in the whole world. It has also become a center of power," used the phrases.

Aliyev said that Türkiye is remembered with respect all over the world and everyone in the world watches Türkiye's military power and success in the defense industry with envy.
