Containers have been set up in 11 provinces affected by the devastating earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaras that struck Türkiye on February 6. Some voters in Gaziantep, Kahramanmaras, Malatya, Sanlıurfa, Adiyaman and Kilis cast their votes in containers set up in the gardens of damaged schools.

2 weeks after the Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary General Elections held on May 14, Türkiye is at the polls again. On February 6, ballot boxes were set up for the Presidential Election in 11 provinces affected by the earthquakes, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaras, which caused deep wounds in Türkiye. 

In Gaziantep, Malatya, Adıyaman, Sanlıurfa and Kilis, some earthquake victims cast their votes for the runoff of the Presidential Election in containers.

In some regions where the earthquakes caused great destruction, long queues formed for the ballot boxes in containers set up in the gardens of damaged schools.

In Gaziantep, there was election activity in the temporary shelter centers in Nurdagı and Islahiye districts affected by the earthquake.

Disaster victims who arrived at the election containers in designated areas in the morning cast their votes.
