A Turkish frigate, TCG Yildirim, arrived at Batumi Port, Georgia, on Monday as part of its NATO deployment.

The vessel is there to train the Georgian Coast Guard in support of NATO's mission.

At the welcoming ceremony, national anthems were played, and dance performances were performed. Türkiye's support for Georgia was emphasized.

Türkiye's Ambassador to Georgia Tbilisi Ali Kaan Orbay, Georgia's Adjara Autonomous Republic Government President Tornike Rijvadze, Türkiye's Batumi Consul General Riza Kagan Yilmaz, Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs Border Police Coast Guard Department Director Ramaz Papidze and Batumi Mayor Archil Cikovani and the ship crew attended the ceremony.
