Türkiye 'eliminates' 2 PKK terrorists in northern Iraq

Turkish security forces have successfully eliminated two PKK militants in northern Iraq, as confirmed by the National Defense Ministry of the country over the weekend.

The ministry disclosed that the militants were pinpointed within the operational zone of Claw-Lock.

"On all fronts, our battle against the PKK terrorist group will persist until every last terrorist is dealt with!" the ministry declared on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Operation Claw-Lock was initiated by Türkiye in April 2022 to target the hidden locations of the terror group in the Metina, Zap, and Avasin-Basyan regions of northern Iraq, adjacent to the Turkish border.

Throughout its extensive 35-year campaign of terror against Türkiye, the PKK – recognized as a terrorist entity by Türkiye, the U.S., and the EU – has been accountable for the loss of over 40,000 lives, encompassing individuals of all ages, including women and children.
