32 provinces end voting for local elections at 4 pm
The voting process in several Turkish provinces, including Adiyaman, Agri, Artvin, and Diyarbakir, concludes at 4 p.m., following the decision of the Supreme Election Council
According to the decision of the Supreme Election Council, voting started at 7 a.m. and concluded at 4 p.m. in several provinces including Adiyaman, Agri, Artvin, Bingol, Bitlis, Diyarbakir, Elazig, Erzincan, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Giresun, Gumushane, Hakkari, Kars, Malatya, Kahramanmaras, Mardin, Mus, Ordu, Rize, Siirt, Sivas, Trabzon, Tunceli, Sanliurfa, Van, Bayburt, Batman, Sirnak, Ardahan, Igdir, and Kilis. This schedule also applied to correctional facilities in these provinces.
Even if all voters listed on the ballot box voter list have cast their votes, the ballot boxes cannot be opened before the end time of voting.
In metropolitan cities, ballot papers for the mayorship of metropolitan municipalities, municipal mayorship, municipal council membership, and mukhtarship will be counted and tabulated in order.
In other provinces, the counting and tabulation will proceed in the order of municipal mayorship, municipal council membership, provincial general assembly membership, and mukhtarship.
On voting day, radio and all other types of media were prohibited from broadcasting news, predictions, and comments related to the election and its results until 6 p.m.
Between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., only news and announcements related to the election by the Supreme Election Council may be broadcast on radios and all types of media.
All broadcasts will be unrestricted after 9 p.m., but the election council may decide to release broadcasts before 9 p.m. if necessary.
