Turkish Armed Forces killed six PKK terrorists through air operations in the Metina and Gara regions of northern Iraq, the Ministry of National Defense announced on its social media account Tuesday.
The post emphasized that counterterrorism operations will continue with determination and resolve until the last terrorist in the region is eliminated.
The PKK has waged a terror campaign against Türkiye for over 35 years, resulting in the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
The organization is recognized as a terrorist group by Türkiye, the U.S. and the European Union.
Türkiye has consistently raised concerns regarding the tolerance extended to the PKK and its supporters across Europe.
