Fire erupts in a scrapyard in Ankara's Yenimahalle district, with firefighting teams responding swiftly to the scene

Fire breaks out in scrapyard in Ankara, no casualties reported

A fire broke out in the scrap dealers' industrial site in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara, where vehicle tires and waste are usually collected.

The fire broke out in the scrap area in Ivedikkoy Neighborhood in the afternoon for unknown reasons.

The fire, which quickly spread due to the effect of the wind, created a dense layer of smoke in the sky.

Upon notification, numerous firefighting teams from Ankara, Etimesgut and Sincan districts were dispatched to the area.

Two cars parked in the area were also engulfed in flames.

Firefighting teams are currently trying to control the blaze which was visible from many parts of the city.
