Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar stated that the body of one of the 9 workers buried under the soil in the landslide that occurred in the mining site in İlic district of Erzincan has been reached

ENR Minister announced that the body of a worker buried under the soil in a mine in Ilic has been reached

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, in a post on his X social media account, gave information about the search operations at the mine site and stated that the body of one of the 9 workers who were buried under the soil in the landslide has been reached.

Stating that search operations have been continuing since February 13, when the accident occurred, Bayraktar used the following expressions:

"In the landslide that occurred in the mining site in Ilic, Erzincan, we reached one of our worker brothers in the area called manganese quarry this evening in our search for our 9 miners, which has been continuing uninterruptedly since the first day. Teams continue to work 24/7 for our other miners. I wish God's mercy to our worker brother and condolences to his grieving family."
