Turkish authorities in Izmir detain 11 suspects in a crackdown on Daesh in a coordinated anti-terrorism operation

Turkish forces arrest 11 suspects with alleged links to Daesh terrorist organization

Eleven suspects were detained in an operation targeting the terrorist organization Daesh in Izmir province.

Coordinated by the Izmir Public Prosecutor's Office, simultaneous operations were conducted at 13 addresses in Izmir by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command Anti-Terrorism Branch, Intelligence Branch, Terrorism Directorate and the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), targeting 13 individuals identified as members of the Daesh armed terrorist organization.

During the operations, authorities detained 11 suspects, seized numerous digital materials and confiscated four prohibited publications.

It was reported that efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining two suspects.
